Legal Fees, (Notary Public or Lawyer, Conveyance & Disbursements)

The transfer of home ownership from the seller to the buyer must be recorded in the Land Title Office in order to protect the new owner’s interests.
Once you have an accepted offer the Notary Public or Lawyer will deal directly with the Realtors brokerage, to have all of the legal work completed at completion of the deal. You will have to meet with your Notary Public or Lawyer to sign off on the change of title & prorated property transfer tax etc before completion. The fees to the Notary Public must be paid upon closing and costs on average $750 - $1000. A Lawyer will charge more for their services.

Please contact your Notary Public or Lawyer directly to get a detailed outline of events to familiarize your self with the process.
